What a week!

So I had an accounting final on Wed. and I am officially done for this qtr. We get spring break (along with the kids) and then back to school on April 6th. I'll be taking my last Accounting class and a Law class which should change it up a little for me. Should be fun.

Well Thursday was a little weird. We picked the kids up from school, made an early dinner, ran Miranda to gymnastics, ran a few errands, back home, and put the kids to bed. That's when it got weird. Rob and I just sat there and stared at each other. No homework, no job stuff, we didn't know what to do with ourselves! So we rented a movie that started out hopeful, but eventually ruined my night. We watched The Boy in the Striped Pajamas. It was pretty good but the ending was terrible. If you've seen it, you know what I'm talking about. If you haven't, I won't ruin it for you. When it ended, I was so mad and told Rob I was going to go throw up a couple of times (because it left me feeling very disturbed) and go to bed...and then I didn't sleep well all night! Let's just say ignorance is bliss!

Today was really fun though. Rob left in the morning to go on a 9-miler with his Young Men's group and we took Miranda to gymnastics. Hailey had spent the night at Wes's so I picked both of them up and we went to breakfast at the Country Gentleman. They have the best breakfasts! After that we went to the feed store where they were having "Chick Day". They had tons of baby ducks and chicks that you could hold, a little petting zoo, puppies, the Easter Bunny giving out candy, and hot dogs and soda for everyone. The girls loved it. One little chick pooped on Lilly's hand when she was holding it and after we washed it off she said "Wow mom, that was pretty sure gross!" She says the funniest things! So we went back and picked up Miranda and then took her over to see all the fun. After that we went to Rich and Laurel's for Claire's Birthday party. We had root beer floats and watched her open her presents. Then all the kids went skating and Wes and Rob took the kids to Baskin Robin's afterword. (Wow, I just realized how much ice cream they had in a matter of a few hrs.!) Then Dylan and Claire came back to our house for pizza, a movie, and a slumber party. (I am enjoying the "slumber" part of it right now!) It has really been fun and I love spending time with my neices and nephews. We are so lucky to be so close to eachother! Love you all!

What a day!

What a funny day! We get up and go to church like normal...and that's where "normal" ends! We get home and start making lunch, eat, and head upstairs to get the girls laid down for naps. (I am definitly one of the "girls") So we are all settled in to bed and needing a good nap, when Lilly decides she needs this, then that...and finally back to bed! Then I hear the door stopper at the bottom of the door being twanged. I thought it was Lilly (who else would it be? Taylin was in her crib!) And NO! It wasn't Lilly so I gently open Taylin's door and about had a heart attack! There she is sitting beside the door playing with the stopper! So she somehow slithered out of her crib and decided to play (and do her dooty). So she gets changed and put back in her crib. By the time 3:30 pm had rolled around, only Lilly got a short nap and Taylin had snuck out of her crib 5 times to play and eventually open her door and go downstairs. When did she even learn to get out of bed, and become such a pro at it? Was she secretly practicing this for weeks? I am baffled!

But that's not all! So Lilly wakes up and is crying. We ask what's wrong and she said that she swallowed her earring! Yes, the peirced sharp ones! When we asked her why, she said in a daze that she thought it was a peice of food! WOW! She must have been groggy! Did she try to chew it? And why would food be in her bed? And a peice of food that tiny would have been appetizing? Once again...Baffled!

So of course the rest of the evening was filled with crazy, tired laughter and whining. But by the time 7:30 came, Rob had the crib changed into a toddler bed, all the toys out of Taylin's room, and anything out of reach that needed to be. We showed her her "NEW" bed, put her in it, and prayed for the best. We were completly thinking she would get up, play, bang on the door to try to get out (did I mention we put one of those child doorknob covers on the inside of her door to buffer the escapes in the middle of the night), and eventually cry herself to sleep somewhere on the floor. But after a while of her asking in a loud voice (but not crying) for everyone, including Lilly to come get her out of bed, there was silence. We waited a while and peeked in on her. There she was, sound asleep, in the spot where we laid her!

AAHHHHH......prayers are answered! haha So I studied awhile and now off to bed! I hope bed time goes just as good tomorrow night!

I NEED citrus!

I have been craving oranges, kiwis, grapefruit, you name it! It might be because I am coming down with a cold....who knows.

Today was fun. Hailey got to skip school and go with me to a Dr.s appointment. I wouldn't normally do this but today I was having an ultrasound. She has been counting down the days! Every day she grins and says "___ more days!" It is cute to see her so excited. I am 3 months along and a few weeks ago we had an ultrasound to make sure things were going well, and Hailey came across the pictures from it. She came upstairs holding the pic and said "Mom, are you pregnant?" with this big grin on her face. I asked her why she would think that and she held the picture up so I could see. I said "Well how do you know that's mine?" and she said "Because it says Ellayne Meldrum on it!". So I said "Well how do you know that's not one of you girls when you were in my tummy?". She says "Because it says 2009 on it!". So I started laughing and she said "Besides I already asked dad." "Well what did he say?" I said. And she told me that he just started laughing too!

So we were busted by our 8 year old. It normally isn't such a problem, but I have had 2 miscarriages in a row and wanted to wait until we were hopefully out of the woods. So I told her she could go to my next ultrasound (which was today) and if everything looked good, she could finally tell people. So she has kept this big secret and giggles all the time and gives me winks if I say I am tired or not feeling well. It really is cute! So everything was fine today and we let her tell her little sisters when we got home and show them the pictures of the US. Miranda understood and Lilly kind of did. Then they played like they had babies in their tummies all day!

My Grandma and Grandpa Hebdon came over with my mom and so they got to find out too. It was the first 3D picture they had ever seen and grandma was amazed. It was fun! Darin came over for dinner later and had fun having Family Home Evening and watching home videos with us.

So life is exciting and we hope all goes well with this, our 5th and final child! Yeah! Our family will be complete! Thanks for all the prayers!

Here we are!!

It is so funny that I read so many other people's blog, and I am just now getting into it myself. I finally convinced myself that I need to do this because I am terrible at keeping a journal (just you watch...my next blog post will be 5 mths. from now!) and so this would be my way of recording things.

Rob and I have 4 girls: Hailey (8), Miranda (5), Lilly (3), and Taylin (1). We love having kids and look forward to more. I am currently taking online classes through CBC and like it even though it's stressful. Rob always has a million work ventures and our life just stays pretty busy.

I know I am being random, but things will get a better flow, the more I get caught up...so a few things that make me happy:

My mom, Aunt Shawna, and I got to go up to Seattle this past weekend and attend Time Out for Women. It was so fun. This is our 2nd year going with us 3. We got a great Hotel room, shopped 'till we dropped, and had wonderful eats and conversation. Of course the event was great too. The whole theme of the event was "Sweet Assurance" and the peace that come with the things that you just know, or somewhere along those lines. They wanted everyone to write down things that they just know beyond a shadow of a doubt. So to that I say:

I know that Heavenly Father will not give me more than I can handle.

Hopefully I still feel that way when I have 4 teenage girls! haha

This also makes me happy: Darin and Jenn moved up to WA some months ago and I just feel super satisfied having everyone in arm's reach now. Ivy does not have to grow up without her favorite Aunty now!;) And Darin, Jenn, and I can stop living our lives through cellphone picture texts and emails! Yeah!

Also, I am teaching the most wonderful group of CTR's at church (Miranda's class) and I don't think I would be so grateful had last years class not put me through the wringer. Yes this year's class is angelic!

School makes me happy, dispite the long hours of studying and the pale sickly skin I am acquiring from hardly stepping into the light of day! haha I do love the challenge and the rewards of gaining more knowledge. Plus, my kids think it's funny that "Mommy does homework)!

I'm gonna state a given: My Hubs and kids. Every day they do something that cracks me up and brings a smile to my face. I am glad to have this blog to be able to keep track of all those funny things.

Ok those are some of my "Happy Things". But my computer is dying and it is late so I will add more later! We love you all!!!
